🙋♂️ THE QUESTIONS
WHO ARE YOU?
I’m an Inventertainer...a game inventor and entertainer obsessed with games and creating joy through play. I’ve invented 10 party games (and counting) with my best friend Jason through our company Barry & Jason Games and Entertainment. I produced and co-hosted a show about games for Ellen Degeneres, I’ve developed game shows for Mattel and the BBC, and I’ve even been a contestant on 10 game shows
myself! (I know… I have a problem)
My goal is always the same: to get a room full of people laughing, connecting, and letting their guard down. My comedy is clean, inclusive, and aimed at lifting everyone up.
WHAT ARE THE GAMES LIKE?
They’re never the same twice, because every group is different. I work with the organizer to craft a lineup
of games that fits the vibe, space, and goals. I'm your perfect event partner!
Most events involve teams competing in a mix of:
-
Creative challenges (like inventing a new national anthem, designing mythical creatures for Noah’s Ark, or pitching fake products in a mini Shark Tank)
-
Games of skill (think paper airplanes, catching baby dolls in buckets, trivia or quirky obstacle courses)
-
Surprises — new games tailored just for your event
Some events feel like a game show. Others feel like summer camp for adults. Many of the games come from our Toy of the Year–nominated game, Game Night in a Can. And I always bring backups in case we want to “play jazz” and pivot mid-event.
HOW MUCH DOES IT COST?
Every event is custom — pricing depends on group size, location, time, and prep. We will talk over all of
the information and find the perfect fit.
It costs more than a round of pub trivia... but way less than hiring Beyonce.
WHO ARE THE HOSTS?
For smaller events, it’s me solo. For larger events, I bring in trusted collaborators like:
-
My co-inventor Jason Lautenschleger, we've hosted a ton of events together!
-
My wife, the artist & Creative Clairvoyant Jade Wolf
-
A network of top-notch improv comedians and game leaders
Everyone I bring shares the same playful, positive energy — we’re pros at making people feel comfortable and included.
IS THERE A BUNCH OF TECH INVOLVED?
Nope. I’m all about high vibes, not high tech.
Sometimes all we need is a marker, some poster board, and a few silly props to create unforgettable moments. While I love a good wireless mic and I can command a keynote stage, I’ve found that low-tech often leads to the most real connection.
If you want a VR laser maze, I’m probably not your guy.
If you want a room full of adults acting like joyful kids again — I’m your guy.

DO YOU DO VIRTUAL EVENTS OR OUTSIDE LA?
Absolutely! I host virtual game nights over Zoom, and for in-person gigs outside of Los Angeles, I’m happy to hop on a plane, train, or motorized duck. Let's talk.
"....look no further than Barry & Jason."
-Adam Levine
"From initial idea to final execution, they were creative, organized, responsive, and always on top of their game. Their energy and professionalism made it a fun and memorable experience for all. According to many, it was the highlight of their CES experience!"
-Anna Yudina, Toy Association
